Static IP Address

A Static IP address is a number that is assigned to a computer by an access provider to be its permanent address on the Internet.

This is a public fixed IP address within the Office Squared network and is utilized for public services or applications. A Static IP Address provides you a unique and dedicated presence on the internet. It allows you to run public services such as websites, file servers for content distribution, mail servers and enables utilization of Virtual Private Network (VPN) applications for secure connectivity.

A static IP address will give you the ability to:

• Host websites, file servers and mail systems
• Remotely connect from your home computer to your office network.
